Our Counoise at Glenrose no longer yields enough to make a stand alone but lucky for us, Counoise and Cinsault are a match made in heaven. Counoise takes the lead on the nose with its classic mélange of red fruits: pomegranate, bing cherry, and raspberry. The palate echoes these red fruits with a long mineral finish reminiscent of Cru Beaujolais. This wine will age gracefully for 10 years but it is hard to resist its immediate pleasure standing in front of the grill on a warm summer evening.
