We never intended on making Cabernet Sauvignon, but luck has it that when we opened the tasting room, 2.4 acres of Cabernet had just been planted right next to it in Bella Vineyard! There was no way that we could ignore that fruit. It is one of the best Cabernet clones and is planted on an east-facing slope in the Willow Creek District (a very desirable planting). 

"Cassis, graphite, chocolate, and crushed stone, as well as hints of green tobacco, all emerge from the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon, a 100% varietal that has some classy, espresso-tinged background oak, medium to full body, ripe, building tannins, and a great finish. It's another flat-out terrific wine. It will benefit from 2-4 years in the cellar, and I wouldn't be surprised to see it evolve for two decades." - Jeb Dunnuck
