Glenrose Vineyard is home to some of the best Syrah plantings in Paso Robles and we are lucky enough to source 4 of the 7 rows of the oldest block on the property.  Planted to UC Davis Shiraz Clone 7 in 1994, this was one of the first plantings of the varietal in the area, with only Tablas Creek and Eberle having planted Syrah previously.  The 26-year-old vines thrive on a plateau of pure limestone at 1100’ - 1595' elevation in the Adelaida District.   Glenrose is now surrounded by some of the most sought-after sites in the area including Law Estates, Epoch’s Paderewski Vineyard, and the Dusi Family’s Paper Street Vineyard.  This is hallowed ground in Paso Robles and when you taste this wine, you see why.  Expect blue and black fruit flavors of blackberry and mulberry in the most perfumed and aromatic Syrah we have ever made.
